During the SGGW Days 2023, at the official meeting of the SGGW Senate prof. dr. hab. Leszek Żukowski was awarded with the title of doctor honoris causa of the Warsaw University of Life Science.

SGGW is among the top Polish higher education institutions according to the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). SGGW figures show an increase by 40 positions in comparison to last year’s ranking. SGGW was also recognized as the best Polish life sciences higher institution.

The meeting of SGGW (Warsaw University of Life Sciences) and UPWr (Wrocław University of Environmental And Life Sciences) representatives was an opportunity to share knowledge and experience related to building and developing strategies of European Universities.

SGGW Days are to be held on 19 and 20 May this year. The attractions prepared for our visitors include: field and board games, educational games for children, police and fire brigade rescue dogs show, the tree race and dendrological walk, flaming hand show, edible insect products food printing, plants fair and gardening tips, sundew collection exhibition, rock and mineral collection, and wicker products fair.

Every year in front of the statue commemorating Stanisław Staszic the Association of SGGW Alumni celebrates the memory of this great scientist, patriot, philanthropist and one of the founders of our University.
