Prof. dr hab. Kazimierz Tomala awarded Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for his outstanding achievements in teaching and scientific activities
Professor of agricultural sciences, vice-rector for the SGGW development, a prominent expert and scientific authority in the field of fruit physiology and storage. An ex student and continuator of the Polish school of horticulture founders; prof. Szczepan Pieniążek and prof. Andrzej Sadowski. He is committed to knowledge dissemination and combines his teaching and scientific activities with close cooperation with the social and economic environment. Professor Tomala has been working as an academic teacher at SGGW since 1981.

Dr hab. inż. Małgorzata Nowacka member of the Polish Young Academy at PAS
Dr hab. inż. Małgorzata Nowacka is an associate professor at the Institute of Food Sciences. She obtained her master's degree in 2005 at the Faculty of Food Technology, SGGW. In 2009, she defended her doctoral thesis entitled "The studies of utilization of infrared and microwave radiation for apples drying", carried out at the Department of Food Engineering and Process Management, the Institute of Food Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. dr hab. Dorota Witrowa-Rajchert.

Dr hab. Zbigniew Karaczun, prof. SGGW, Department of Environmental Protection and Dendrology, Institute of Horticulture Sciences, appeared as an expert on climate policy, as a part of the Polish Cities of the Future 2050 project.

Laureate of the program Stanisława Ulama NAWA will conduct research at the SGGW
Prof. Seid Mahdi Jafari has been awarded scholarship under the Ulam Programme NAWA. Prof. Seid Mahdi Jafari (Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources) - a global specialist in nano and microencapsulation, will conduct research on "Integrated low temperature process for the production of improved natural colorant powder from purple carrot" during his stay at our department, during the period from March to September 2022. The co-author of the application and the coordinator of the stay is Katarzyna Samborska.
